Overview: Busy, professional couple is looking for a Full time Nanny/House Manager to care for their 3 sweet girls: twins ages 7, and their youngest, age 5
Mom and Dad are both busy professionals with demanding careers. Dad works for Microsoft in a position that requires a bit of travel, but when in town, he works from home in his downstairs office. Mom is self-employed, and works both in and out of the home, also in a designated work space.
Their oldest (T1) , age 7, loves animals and wants to be a wildlife rescuer. She and her twin sister love to explore the outdoors, looking at the various feathers and evidence of wildlife in our yard. She loves to paint and loves imaginary play. She is a dreamer who loses track of time and gets lost in her play. (T1) is in school full time.
Her twin sister (T2) also loves to be outside exploring in nature. (T2) identifies as a creator, and she loves to assemble artistic/semi-functional creations made out of cardboard, wooden pieces, and various other types of unused ‘junk’ around the house. (T2) loves school, Math in particular, and is a social butterfly. (T2) is in school full time.
***It is important to note that one of the twins has Celiac Disease and cannot be around gluten. The family home is gluten free, and a nanny will be required to not bring gluten in the home while working.
Their youngest (G5), likes to build with Magnatiles and likes to play with her toy cars. She loves stickers, drawing with markers, painting and all things Peppa Pig. (G5) is a helper around the house and loves rules and structure. (G5) is a very special little girl. She has a form of epilepsy, which causes her to miss school somewhat regularly, and will require a nanny who can identify a seizure (not grand mal type) and provide first aid through Nasal Rescue Meds. The family is currently working through medications for her.
The family has 2 cats, Doodle and Charlie. They enjoy being outside during the day and love to watch the birds and chipmunks. The cats are a little over a year old and are still playful like kittens.
The family’s ideal candidate is kind, empathetic and encouraging. Someone who is cool under pressure, and not intimidated by the possibility that (G5) could have a focal seizure while in a nanny's care. Also, understanding that one of the twins has Celiac Disease and cannot be around gluten is imperative for a nanny. The family home is gluten free, and a nanny will be required to not bring gluten in the home while working. With Dad's travel amping up this year, there may be a need for overnight help if (G5) has a seizure and Mom needs to take her to the hospital, so a caregiver willing to be on call for his travel nights would be a great support for the family as well.
Ultimately the family wants to find a nanny who really enjoys playing with kids and having fun! The girls love to be outside in nature - the family home backs up to Radnor Lake, so their yard is always full of wildlife including deer, turkeys and the occasional fox! The girls also love getting crafty with painting and building projects, so a nanny who shares these interests would be ideal.
This is a hybrid Nanny / House Manager position, so a caregiver who has experience and is comfortable with both roles is ideal. Although all three girls are expected to be in full day school/camp year round, (G5) is home quite frequently. On days when all three girls are in school, the House Manager role will set in and the family would like assistance with laundry, grocery shopping, meal prep and tidying and organization.
